Vinyl Club with a twist this month...

On May 27th Mamacitas will be joining us to host an evening celebrating Cuban music and food with the focus on 1997’s classic album Buena Vista Social Club.

We’ll be listening through the record in standard Vinyl Club form but for this one off event we will be listening and talking whilst working our way through three delicious plates of Cuban food paired with three wines chosen to fit the music, the food and the vibes!

30 years ago, Ry Cooder, his son, and a cast of Cuba’s finest musicians spent a week in Havana, making one of the most timeless albums ever recorded. It is the best-selling “world music” record of all time for a reason. These are the best of the best, some in their 80’s and originators of their style, from deep traditions and a lineage of players from different regions of the island, given the opportunity to come together and show the world why Cuba has always been known for the highest musical originality and standards of musicianship. This is a brilliant opportunity to listen to the record in the company of Todd who will be talking us through everything Buena Vista whilst you enjoy paired wines wine and a delicious meal.

Only 20 tickets will be released for this special event.

See you at the bar for whatever takes your fancy at 7pm. We will begin pouring paired wines and toasting to the needle around 7.30pm.
