As we begin emerging from winter, buds are bursting and Belle and Sebastien are being talked about at Smith and Gertrude.
Tigermilk, Belle and Sebastians debut album, went from obscure project to breakthrough indie album in the mid 90's. At a time when confidence often meant volume, Tigermilk made space for fragility, storytelling, and small, intensely human moments. As we listen together, we’re not just revisiting the album—we’re stepping into a turning point in Scotland’s indie culture. Tigermilk helped prove that great music didn’t have to come from big studios or bold personas; it could come from bedrooms, borrowed equipment, and a sense of community.
