Champagne is a tough one as yes, it is absolutely delicious, but supermarkets sell the stuff at such amazing (loss leading) prices these days that we've 'ummed' and 'ahhd' about whether we should just not sell Champagne at all. Until we tasted Billecart-Salmon and realised we could import direct! Billecart-Salmon is a medium-sized champagne house in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, France. Founded in 1818 with the marriage of Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon, it is one of the few to remain family owned.

Bottle: 750 ml
Alcohol Content: 12.0%
Unlike the Brut I would suggest this is not for everyday drinking, unless you have a sweet tooth. The Demi Sec is a full flavoured champagne and is a reference wine for its perfect balance between sugar, alcohol and acidity. The champagne blend is identical to the Brut Reserve but with a greater dosage, creating a lively aroma with a hint of delicate flowers and evolving into buttery brioche notes.
