The Gripa family have been winemakers in the heart of the original Saint-Joseph appellation in Mauves since the 17th Century. Winemaking is overseen by Bernard Gripa and his son, Fabrice, and unusually for a Northern Rhône producer, they are perhaps best known for their white wines. Les Pins is a blend of plots with average vine age of 40 years and is composed of 80% Marsanne and 20% Roussanne. A delicious wine in its own right with lovely notes of honey-drizzled stone fruits, citrus oils and acacia blossom, with a wonderful saline minerality.
