This tasting is in Portobello.
You would be forgiven for thinking every other tasting we do somehow features the wines of Piedmont but that would be an exaggeration - this is our first visit to the region for at least 3 months!
Join us on Tuesday 22nd November for an evening with Guiseppe Vajra, joint owner of G.D Vajra wines as we taste through a selction of his favourite wines in his portfolio accompanied by a selection of perfectly matched seasonal Italian cheese & charcuterie.
A true pioneer within Barolo having converted to organic techniques in the 1970's, Aldo Vaira’s wines are characterised by pristine flavours and clearly defined perfumes. These characters are attributable to the position of his vineyards at about 400 metres above sea level in the village of Vergne in the commune of Barolo. over the course of 2-3 hours we will be tasting all the classics: Dolcetto, Barbera, Langhe Nebbiolo & of course a Barolo or two!
The tasting will be held upstairs in our main bar in Portobello and will begin at 7pm.
Tickets are £55 per person and limited to 22 people.
All wines will be available to order on the night.
