Vineyards: L’Archetipo’s vineyards are split amongst three parcels of varying ages. Of their 60 hectares, 25 are dedicated to vines whilst the remainder are used to grow ancient grains. The vines here are trained in a unique ‘freestanding espalier’ style where over 3m’s of unrestricted growth is trained on perpendicular wires to provide shade for the grapes. Their natural, no-till farming approach is influenced by the teachings of Rudolf Steiner and Masanobu Fukuoka, placing a core focus on never touching the soils hence creating an ever-important layer of Humus.
