This tasting is in Stockbridge
It's cold, damp & grey so lets turn our focus to sunnier climes & head to somewhere it is always sunny for our first big wine tasting of the year (not Philadelphia): Puglia, Italy
Join us on Monday 13th March for an evening of Puglian wine, cheese & chat.
'Puglia is a treasure trove of art, history and nature. It’s a land of sun and hospitality'. Or so we are reliably informed, having as yet not made it further south than Rome on our Italian travels. But even if like us, you haven't visited the region, the chances are you know the poster boy wine of the region oh so well - the mighty Primitivo.
And it is indeed mighty - so we will for sure be tasting a couple as we wind our way around the Puglian vineyards in the company of Vito Cicala, winemaker at A Mano wines. This being an S&G tasting we will of course be shining a light on some of the less well known grape varietals of the region including the criminally undervalued Negroamaro & Susumaniello.
There will be cheese, there will be expert chat & most importantly of all there will be delicious wine. What's not to love.
The tasting will be held upstairs in our main bar in Stockbridge and will begin at 7pm and last for around 2 - 3 hours.
Tickets are £47.50 per person and limited to 30 people.
All wines will be available to order on the night.
